No question we all get sweet cravings every now and then, although we all know that sugar is no good for us. The next time you feel the need of an energy boost, try these muffins, a sweet suggestion that will leave you feeling satisfied, without the sugar crash.

Grab a good book, light a candle and cosy up on under a blanket and try these naturally sweetened and healthy muffins that are the perfect treat for indulging during a bit of down-time.  Light a candle to create the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon break.

100gms hazelnuts
200gms rolled oats
2-3 apples
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
3 eggs
1.5 tsp baking powder
Preheat the oven to 200 °C (Fan ovens 180 °C)

Grind the nuts in a food processor into a fine nut flour. Also put the oats through the food processor to blend them into smaller pieces. Mash the banana. Peel and core the apples and grind them as well. The more your blend your ingredients, the softer your muffin will be. If you prefer a chewier muffin, just chop the ingredients coarsely.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Grease a muffin pan or use muffin liners and divide the batter between the cups. Fill each cup about two-thirds full. The batch will make about 10 muffins. Bake the muffins in 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, until firm to the touch.

Sit back and enjoy!
